"Blue and white is a timeless combination that's been used in design for hundreds of years, from paint to pottery," Wadden says. If you're looking to design a cheery, traditional space, use icy blue shades with white. Light blue works in any room of the house, from the kitchen to a relaxing master bath to a children's playroom. These are their favorite choices for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and more.Ĭourtesy of Benjamin Moore Where to Use Light Blue in Your Home We turned to top interior designers for their powder-blue paint color recommendations. ![]() "For example, in cool, dim light, I may opt for a brighter blue with a little green in it to offset the lighting conditions." "If the space has natural light, is it a predominantly cool or warm cast? Is it bright or pretty shaded?" asks Xaykao. Lighting conditions also change the appearance of blues in a room. Are you keeping any existing colors in the space like the trim and door? If so, she recommends making sure the blue has similar undertones to those colors. Nivara Xaykao, associate manager of color marketing and development at Benjamin Moore, says blues are "pretty malleable" but there are a few considerations to keep in mind. "You don't want the color to be too sweet, like robin's egg or baby blue," she says. Shades with a hint of yellow keep it looking blue rather than purple." She notes that you should also make sure it has a touch of gray to it. "With this light of a color, too many red undertones will make it look periwinkle. "Be careful with undertones," Wadden says. While cheerful and uplifting, the perfect shade of powder blue can be difficult to select. Michael Partenio How to Choose Light-Blue Paint Colors Patrick O'Donnell, Farrow & Ball's international brand ambassador, says these shades are "effortlessly easy to live with," and coordinate with a range of art, furniture, and architectural styles. It's the color of the sky, and there's an immediate connection to it because of its roots in things that are natural and comfortable," she says. Sue Wadden, director of color marketing for Sherwin-Williams, believes that light, dusty blues also conjure a certain nostalgia and comfort. Perhaps the color reminds us of the sea, sky-blue hydrangea, or traditional Provencal houses with pastel shutters. So what exactly makes pale blue interiors so refreshing? Design professionals nationwide are selecting it for kitchen cabinetry, trim, built-in shelving, bathroom vanities, and more. Also known as powder blue or French blue by industry experts, light blue is a fresh, fun, and relaxing shade. Blue is a timeless choice for interiors, but in recent years, softer, summer-fresh shades, ranging from icy blue to pale blue-greens, have become a go-to for paint companies and interior designers hoping to capture a certain je ne sais quoi.

![]() After trying it more on some other sound sources I also discovered that I couldn’t find any small or big, natural or hardware emulated space sounding as harsh as some reverbs can sometimes sound in higher frequencies. It sounded quite a bit more real than with other convolution reverbs. ![]() Altiverb 7 added space without muddying even slightly the space around the cello. I was quite surprised trying it for a first time with a dry cello track. I don’t know what the secret of Altiverb 7 is, it could be a high sample rate used for IR convolutions or maybe recording techniques used by skilled recording engineers, or perfectly chosen places, good programming, or probably all the mentioned reasons coming together to give a unique end result. Some of them add really cool and pleasant spaces around the audio object, but you can’t say that this is totally the same as listening to an instrument in a real place. The real spaces sound clean and well defined, something that is not 100% true with convolution or even algorithmic reverbs. Don’t tell me about predelay, equalizer and other things, as you know exactly what I’m talking about. All other virtual reverbs add space around the effected sound, a nice sound, but still a bit foggy and muddy. Not sure what exactly what it means in a musical sense. I presume this word means drinking Whiskey by the old stove inside a house on a cold winter’s day. Not just a difference in the range of those abstract words that no one can really properly describe, like “Warmth” for example. So, where is that few hundred euros difference? The first thing I should say is, yes, it is worth the money, and second, yes, it makes a very noticeable difference. I have had Altiverb for almost a month and had enough time to try it with some orchestral material and some pop songs with guitars and vocals. There are plenty of enthusiasts that have sampled some great real spaces, same as some legendary reverb hardware pieces. After all, €499 EUR for the regular version and €849 EUR for XL is quite a big price, and after all, convolution reverbs are all about the impulse responses (known as IRs) from real places which you can even get for free if you google a bit. Of course, as convolution reverbs can be found in almost every DAW, not to mention that there are also a dozen third party convolution reverbs around for a quite reasonable price (ranging from $100 to $200 USD), you probably asked yourself, as I did before I got it, whether Altiverb 7 is worth the price. I assume you’ve already heard about Altiverb, a studio standard. However the price is quite huge, so you can search other alternative if this product doesn't fit your budget.Do you really need a convolution reverb that costs upwards of 500 Euros? Our reviewer seems to think that with Altiverb 7, the answer unfortunately is “absolutely”. Knowing what I know I would buy this product over and over again because of the quality provided by it and how realistic the reverb sounds. I've tried several reverbs, some of my favorites are Aether, Reverberate and this product called Altiverb, you can do some crazy effects combining some presets provided by Aether and Altiverb. Precision and quality of sounds is very very good, I would rate it 9.5/ 10, the only criticism that I can give is that it uses many resources, but aren't all high quality reverbs like this?. My opinion about the value of price is good, however this is a amateur plugin, it costs pretty much, and I do not advice to buy it unless you're very serious about your music, this product costs around 600$. I also do like how great and high quality this reverb sounds and it's use that is really really wide, from using on different acoustic instruments like piano or guitar to some synths like Native Instrument's Massive. What I like the most about is the realistic feel that offers two and four channel sampled acoustics of real halls, cathedrals, bathrooms, and many other features like creating and sampling your own space.Īltiverb is the first reverb software to have advantage of the power of Apple's Altivec Velocity Engine which means that it requires a G4 to start. I'm getting high-quality results with the feel of this real soft, warm reverb that uses real samples of sound. The software works decent, stable, without any type of errors or crashes. I haven't found any issues regarding this software, the manual is quite clear and provides all the necessary information and I must also mention how easy and fast the general configuration and setup of this program is. ![]() Furthermore, Netflix understands that most of its content is being viewed on smartphones, which own a very narrow aspect ratio. In the Balkan states propolis was applied to treat wounds and burns, sore throat, and stomach ulcer. In the end of the 19th century, propolis was widely used due to its healing properties and in the Second World War it was employed in several Soviet clinics for tuberculosis treatment, due to the observed decline of lung problems and appetite recovery. In Italy bee glue was used as a violin varnish by Stradivari. Due to its antibacterial activity, in Europe propolis became very popular between the 17th and 20th centuries. Propolis was listed as an official drug in the London pharmacopoeias of the 17th century. Greek and Roman physicians used it as mouth disinfectant and as an antiseptic and healing product in wound treatment, prescribed for topical therapy of cutaneous and mucosal wounds. I'd really appreciate it, there are so many which I want to use in my project that I can't because they're too small! Send me a PM if you're willing to help me out and I'll make a zip of all the ones which need rescaling. is if someone could help me rescale a lot of VX Ace tilesets which I bought of the RPG Maker Web store so that I can use them in MV. What I'm personally more interested in than generator parts. It's a bit of a challenge if you're not super familiar with an art program like GIMP, but if any of those steps confuse you, Google is gonna be your best friend until you understand it well enough to get to work on it. I'd advise cleaning the lines of the image up so that they don't look so big, as well as adjusting the color borders to make them smaller and more fluid. It's pretty simple math to figure out that this means to rescale Ace sprites to MV size, one simply needs to scale up by a multiplier of 1.5.īut once you do that, I can guarantee that the result will look a bit too pixellated for plug and play use. That's a step more than is actually necessary. ![]() So if anyone wants to try this and convert it with this method I used gimp btwĪlso everyone I am making a mv game that has abdl mechanics if anyone wants to test it out when I'm done feel free to oh and you can delete this posting I figured it out thanks everyone for your help though! This process has been super helpful for me as I constantly find good sprites online but sometimes they're from other versions of RPGM (as far back as 2000) and I use RPGM VXAce so knowing exactly how big each sprite is/can be is super useful.Īnd once you know exactly the size of your sprites, then scaling the old sprites up or down and cleaning them up is super easy, GiMP even has a pretty decent scaling tool built in.Īlso, the grid in GiMP can be a little confusing to turn on and use, you turn on the grid using the view drop down menu (side note, I also recommend turning on the snap to grid feature while in that drop down menu) and then to adjust the size of the grid open the image drop down menu and adjust grid should be near the bottom. However, I'm away from my computer right now, so I can't check, so I'd recommend using the method I described above. In RPGM VXAce all character sprites are 32x32 pixels by default, so it's probably a safe bet that sprites in MV double (64圆4px) or even triple (96x96px) the size, to allow for more detail. PNG into GiMP and turning on the grid to measure exactly how many pixels a single sprite takes up. Think Photoshop but ugly.) then generating a character from RPGM MV's built in character maker, then exporting that image sheet that it makes and then loading the. What I recommend is downloading GiMP (a free image manipulation software. |
